When setting up a new client, you have the opportunity to add the basic information required to use the various features of Health+.
Longevity Estimate
Prior to the introduction of Health+, the Longevity Estimate field defaulted to 90 and was only changed manually by the user. With Health+, this estimate will update to reflect the actuarial average life expectancy of the client based on the following factors:
- Date of Birth (required)
- Retirement State (required)
- Gender (required)
- Health Conditions / Lifestyle Choices (optional)
If you wish to override the suggested longevity estimate provided after entering these data points, you can simply change the age in the Longevity Estimate field to another value.
Health+ Information Input
The first step of the new client workflow, Basic Client Information, features a new button labeled “Estimate with Health+”. Clicking this button will reveal additional fields: Retirement State, Gender, and Health Conditions. The fields for Additional Client will be inactive until that client is added.

Retirement State
This is the state in which the client is expected to hold primary residence during retirement. The state selection influences longevity estimates and Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) premium estimates. A selection in this field is required to fully utilize Health+.
Gender
The selected gender influences longevity estimates and estimated out-of-pocket medical costs. Choosing Not Specified will use an average between male and female to generate estimates. A selection in this field is required to fully utilize Health+.
Health Conditions
The selected health conditions and lifestyle choices influences longevity projections and estimated out-of-pocket medical costs. All diagnosed conditions should be selected even if the client is controlling the condition through treatment. None of these need to be selected to utilize Health+ features. The available options are:
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Diabetes (Type 2)
- High Blood Pressure (BP)
- High Cholesterol
- Tobacco Use
