The features in this article are restricted to users subscribed to Health+.
Alongside the standard fields available in the Clients tab of the dynamic plan editor, fields for the additional information required to fully utilize Health+ features appear. These new fields include:
- Retirement State (required)
- Gender (required)
- Health Conditions / Lifestyle Choices (optional)
Changing selections in these fields may result in a change to the age in the Longevity Estimate field. The selections will be used for other Health+ calculations and projections such as Social Security optimization and Healthcare expense estimates.
If you wish to override the suggested longevity estimate provided after entering these data points, you can simply change the age in the Longevity Estimate field to another value.
If the Longevity Estimate for either client has changed as a result of Health+ input additions/changes, be sure to click the UPDATE button to apply the new longevity values to the income plan. This may result in changes to plan length, Social Security calculations, and healthcare cost projections.

Retirement State
This is the state in which the client is expected to hold primary residence during retirement. The state selection influences longevity estimates and Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) premium estimates. A selection in this field is required to fully utilize Health+.
Gender
The selected gender influences longevity estimates and estimated out-of-pocket medical costs. Choosing Not Specified will use an average between male and female to generate estimates. A selection in this field is required to fully utilize Health+.
Health Conditions
The selected health conditions and lifestyle choices influences longevity projections and estimated out-of-pocket medical costs. All diagnosed conditions should be selected even if the client is controlling the condition through treatment. None of these need to be selected to utilize Health+ features. The available options are:
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular Disease
- Diabetes (Type 2)
- High Blood Pressure (BP)
- High Cholesterol
- Tobacco Use
For estimation purposes, conditions are not cumulative. Out of the selected conditions, the longevity estimate will reflect the impact of the condition that most significantly reduces longevity.
